Capillary electrophoresis
Principle
After the capillary is filled with an electrolyte solution, a high voltage of electric field is applied to both ends of the capillary tube. The sample which is introduced to the capillary by injection moves at the combined speed of electrophoresis and electro-osmotic flow. Since the sample components perform to migrate at different speeds with their difference in electrophoretic mobility, separation can be achieved. Based on the migration time of separated components and the signal intensity, mainly a quantitative analysis of ion components is performed.

Applications
- Quantitative analysis of organic acids (in plating solution, in drinking water, etc.)
- Quantitative analysis of sugars
- Quantitative analysis of alkyl amines
- Quantitative analysis of phosphoric acid and the other states of phosphate
- It is possible to analyze even with liquids containing a large amount of mixed substances such as plating bath solutions (lower limit of determination is about 10 mg/L).
